Paper Bakery DT Layouts

Today I wanted to share with you some of the layout I created for the Paper Bakery DT using the Love Potion #9 Scrapbook Kit.  This is a very photo heavy post, so grab a coffee!

The flair was a shop item.

I also used the resin flowers and sequins from the shop

The xoxo border was one of the exclusive cut files that comes with the kit.  I misted it with water, then took my Metallic Melon & Red Cherry Gelatos and coloured directly on in.  Next I took my Heidi Swapp Color Shine - Gold and flicked drops on it.  When it dried I used my Viva Glitter Pen in Gold to add some sparkle.

I used my HS Colour Shine - Gold and painted directly on the October Afternoon Alphas that came in the kit.

Thanks for taking a look! I'd love to hear what you think!

*Smile - Lots of Layers

I love this layout.  I had so much fun making it.  I grabbed my glue gun and a piece of a muslin bag, along with a bunch of random papers and embellies and a cup of hot coffee. This layout came together so quick, I didn't even finish my coffee.

Project Life Week 3

Today I want to share with you my Week 3 of Project Life

I was excited this week when Clay sent me a picture on my phone of the helicopter he was working on.
*Tip - have you & your partner take a photo of work

Once again I have added a quote this week, as I hope to do every week.  I also saved the tag from Noah's new backpack a sewed it onto a card.
*Tip - don't forget to save little tags, receipt and other miscellany from the week.  It makes for good filler!

A close up of some layering on my photos

Project Life Weeks 1 and 2

Good Morning!  Today I have my Weeks 1 & 2 of my Project Life to share.

I love labels & enamel dots for PL as you can see lol!
*Tip - add what you are currently watching on TV

A close up of a simple card.  The stamp is from Studio Calico
*Tip - start breaking out those stamps you have and use them.  Pick 1 set for the week and add them in your spread, even if it is only once!
Aunt Sue gave me her sewing machine, and as you can see I am stitching on everything!!!
*Tip - take a screen shot of the weather from your phone

This year my goal is too use up all those little bits of random sticker and part packs of embellishments.  I have a serving plate on my desk with some of these things that I am adding to constantly.
*Tip - Quotes... my plan this year is to add a quote each week that means something to me, and that later in life when my boys are looking through my albums, they read them and hopefully take something from them

Thanks for taking a peek.  If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Project Life 2014 Title Page

Hey everyone! Today I would like to share with you the front & back pages of my
Project Life 2014 Title Page
I have added little bits to make the page pop (stars, brads, stitching, etc)

This is the back side of my title page.  I noticed just now that I have a spelling error in my handwritten quote... sigh.. lol, I will be redoing that card ASAP!  The center 3x4 cards open up and inside we have all put in our personal goals for the upcoming year. (the kids are still too young, so they have made there cards into things they want to do this year)

Close up... you can see that I added some stickles for a bit of sparkle.

and here I used a brad in the "O" of home.

Chilly

I felt this layout was fitting today,
because as I currently sit here typing this,
it is -26C and I am very chilly!

This layout fell together super quick.  I picked out a few neutral papers, and layered them.

I simply adore the neutral & gold bakers twine that I wrapped around the photo.

I pulled out my hot glue gun to layer and adhere the title.

I added some Stickles, sequins and asterisk stickers on an angle, to give the illusion on snow falling.

Keep warm!

Winter Wonderland

I was a bit skeptical of this "lavender purple" paper, but the minute I set it next to the blue paper, I crushed hard!  I am in love with this colour combo right now!!!!

(my apologies for this photo, my kids lost my camera charger so I had to take this with my phone)

And I am loving the hits of gold with this combo

And sequins make everything better, right? lol
I challenge you to work with a colour you are skeptical of and pair it with a colour you love!
